The Shimane Institute for Industrial Technology contributes to the advancement of industry in Shimane by providing technical assistance to business organizations and with the creation of new industries.

The Shimane Institute for Industrial Technology is an organization whose purpose is to provide technical assistance to corporations in Shimane that carry out pioneering research and development for the creation of new industries, and to work for the improvement of industrial competitiveness.

We unite with these corporations to support product development and technological improvement by providing them with technical consultancy; funded research; requested tests/analyses; engineer training; and other assistance.

Additionally, we aim to push forward the creation of new industries, through research and development into state-of-the-art technologies and materials through co-operation between universities and industry, and transfer of the resulting technologies to corporations in the prefecture.
